MAX uses Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to provide a second layer of security for your account.
The first layer of security is your username and password. The second layer requires access to your mobile phone. Whenever MAX asks for a verification code, you can retrieve it from your phone. A transaction can only be completed after both layers of verification are passed.
You can choose to receive your verification codes via SMS or an Authenticator App.
SMS: When you are asked to enter a code, MAX will send a verification code via text message to your mobile phone. You must then enter this code on the platform.
Authenticator App:This option uses a time-based authenticator app, such as the free Google Authenticator. After installing this software on your phone, it will generate the dynamic codes required to complete the 2FA process.
For setup instructions, please see:How do I enable Google Authenticator (GA) 2FA?
Reminders:
The daily limit for receiving 2FA codes via SMS is 20 times. If you reach this daily limit, you will not be able to change your 2FA method or make cryptocurrency withdrawals until the limit resets.
For users who need to make frequent withdrawals, we strongly recommend using Google Authenticator or Authy as your 2FA method, as these apps do not have a daily usage limit.
