MaiCoin device authorization Tutorial

MaiCoin provides high-standard security mechanisms. To protect your crypto assets, please review and enable the following settings:

1. Device Authorization To secure your account, MaiCoin employs a strict device login protection mechanism. Our system automatically records your frequently used devices (mobile or computer).

  • How it works: When a login attempt is detected from a brand-new IP address or an unrecognized device, the system will send an "Authorize New Device Login" email to your registered email address.

  • Action required: Please go to your inbox and click the authorization link to confirm the login attempt was made by you. Once verified, the new device can log in successfully. This effectively prevents unauthorized access and enhances your account security.

2. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) 2FA provides a second layer of security. In addition to your password, you will need your personal device to complete transactions. We offer two methods:

  • SMS Verification: When prompted, MaiCoin will send a verification code to your mobile phone via SMS. You must enter this code on the platform to proceed. (Note: There is a limit of 20 SMS verification codes per day.)

  • Authenticator App (Google Authenticator): This serves as a robust second line of defense against crypto theft, even if your password is compromised. It is the best alternative to SMS verification, especially when you have poor mobile reception or are traveling abroad. (If you plan to travel overseas, please remember to set this up before your departure.)

Logging in via Mobile APP

  1. Open the APP > Enter your account and password > Log in > A screen will pop up requiring device verification.

  2. Please log in to your registered email account > The system will send an email with the subject line: [MaiCoin] Authorize New Device Sign-in

  3. Please open this email > View the 9-digit verification code > And enter it on the APP's verification page within 10 minutes.

  4. After completing the above steps, a "Device Verification Successful" screen will appear > Please click "Log in again" > Enter your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) code to successfully log in to the platform!

Reminder: If the screen shows an error message "Incorrect verification code," please delete the old authorization email, go back to the APP to click "Resend" (as indicated in the image below), and use the new verification code to successfully authorize the device.

Logging in via Computer Webpage

  1. After entering your account and password from the new device, click Log in. The screen will proceed to new device verification and prompt that an email has been sent to your registered mailbox.

  2. Open your registered email account. The system will send an email with the subject line: [MaiCoin] Authorize New Device Sign-in. Open the email and view the 9-digit verification code inside.

  3. Return to the MaiCoin page and enter the verification code. A "Device Verification Successful" screen will appear. Click "Log in again" to complete the process!

If you still cannot log in after completing the steps, please check the following situations and try again:

  • The verification code has an expiration time. If you do not enter the code within ten minutes, please log in again to have the system resend a valid email to you.

  • You must enter the verification code from the latest email. If you are unsure which one is the latest email, it is recommended to delete all of them and restart the process.
