What is the Bankee Settlement Account?
The Bankee Virtual Asset Trading Settlement Account (hereafter referred to as the "Bankee Trading Account") is a digital deposit service provided by Far Eastern International Bank. It can be used as a TWD deposit and withdrawal account for MAX.
What are the benefits of using the Bankee Trading Account?
- Simple: The Bankee account opening process is easy and can be done online without leaving your home.
- Quick Binding and Upgrading: Once your Bankee Trading Account is opened, it will be directly linked to MAX for deposits and withdrawals. If you haven't upgraded to Level 2, the successful binding will immediately upgrade you to Level 2, giving you more trading privileges. No need to manually enter account numbers or wait for additional verification time.
- No Interbank Transfer Fees for Deposits: Deposits from Bankee to MAX are free of interbank transfer fees.
- Additional Withdrawal Processing Time: Withdrawals from MAX to the Bankee Trading Account requested before 11:00 AM on business days are expected to be credited by the afternoon. Withdrawals requested before 3:30 PM are expected to be credited by the next business morning. This allows for more flexible fund management. Note that actual credit times may vary due to verification or processing requirements.
How to Open a Bankee Trading Account
- Account Requirements:
- Must be a Taiwan citizen and at least 18 years old.
- You must complete MAX identity verification and reach Level 1 or above before opening a Bankee Trading Account.
- The Bankee Trading Account can only be opened through the MAX App or website for use exclusively with MAX.
- Account Opening Process:
- Go to the MAX App and navigate to "Profile > Account Setting > Bank Account Verification". Select "Open Bankee Account".
- Read the instructions and tap "OPEN BANKEE ACCOUNT" to start.
- With your consent, MAX will securely transfer the necessary information to Bankee to expedite your account opening. During this process, you might need to confirm or complete information on the Bankee account opening webpage.
- Account Opening Progress:
- After submitting your application, you can check the status in the MAX App under "Account Settings > Bank Account Verification > Bankee Settlement Account" or on the Bankee progress inquiry webpage.
- Bankee will notify you of the account opening progress via SMS.
- If additional information is needed due to incomplete application details, Bankee will send an SMS requesting the necessary documents.
- Once the account is opened and linked, the MAX App will send a push notification, and you can start using the Bankee account for deposits and withdrawals. You need to enable notification permissions (App > Profile > Notification Setting) to receive push notifications.
- The Bankee Trading Account can only be opened through MAX. For details on Bankee's account requirements and instructions, refer to the Bankee Member Application FAQs provided by Bankee.
I already have a Bankee digital deposit account. Do I need to open a new trading account?
- Yes. The Bankee Trading Account is different from the regular Bankee digital deposit account. To use the Bankee Trading Account with MAX, you need to open a new account through the MAX App.
Can I bind both a Bankee account and another bank account to MAX at the same time?
- Yes. You can choose to use one or both of the following methods:
- Open and bind a Bankee Trading Account
- Bind your existing bank account
- The deposit limits and withdrawal limits for Bankee accounts and other bank accounts are calculated together.
How to Deposit to MAX?
- To deposit funds from your Bankee Trading Account into MAX:
- Open the Bankee App.
- Go to the investment settlement account and find the investment account (MAX).
- Tap "Deposit" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the deposit.
- You can also find instructions in the MAX App under "Wallet > TWD > Deposit".
What is the deposit limit for using the Bankee account?
- The MAX deposit limit is NT$1.5 million per transaction. Please check the deposit function screen in MAX or refer to the limit instructions.
- Bankee may apply additional transfer limits (ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$50,000 per transaction, depending on the account type). You can increase your limit by setting up a designated account.
How to set up a designated account?
- If you need a higher transfer limit, you can set the MAX deposit account as a designated transfer-in account.
View the MAX Deposit Account
- Open MAX and go to "Wallet > TWD > Deposit" to view the deposit bank account.
- This bank account is your exclusive MAX deposit account, consisting of 16 digits with the first four digits fixed at 1024. The account name is "Far Eastern Bank Trustee Modern Wealth Technology Trust Property Account (MAX)".
You can set the MAX deposit account as a designated transfer-in account either at a branch or online.
At the Branch: Visit a Far Eastern International Bank branch to complete the setup.
Online: If you have a Citizen Digital Certificate, you can set up the designated account online. Follow these steps:
- Complete the designated account setup according to Bankee’s instructions. You need to apply online for a designated transfer-to-other account and complete the Citizen Digital Certificate verification and video verification.
- When setting up the designated account, select your Bankee Trading Account as the transfer-out account. For the transfer-in account, use bank code 805 (Far Eastern International Bank) and your MAX deposit account number.
What is the deposit processing time for using the Bankee Trading Account?
- After the transfer is completed, you can immediately view your TWD balance in the MAX wallet and use it for trading.
- In rare cases of system maintenance, transaction congestion, or network issues, there may be delays. If your deposit is not credited or if you have any questions, you can contact MAX customer service via "MAX App > Profile > Contact Us".
How to Withdraw to a Bankee Trading Account?
- Open the MAX app, go to "Wallet > TWD > Withdraw", select the Bankee account, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the withdrawal.
What are the withdrawal limits to the Bankee Trading Account?
- The withdrawal limits depend on your account level and permissions and do not vary based on the use of the Bankee Trading Account. Please check the MAX app's withdrawal function screen or refer to the withdrawal limit instructions.
What is the processing time for withdrawals to the Bankee Trading Account?
- For withdrawals from MAX to the Bankee Trading Account:
- Requests made before 11:00 AM on business days will be credited by the afternoon.
- Requests made between 11:00 AM and 3:29 PM on business days will be credited by the next business morning.
- Requests made after 3:30 PM on business days will be credited by the next business afternoon.
- Requests made on non-business days will be credited by the afternoon of the coming business day.
- The actual credit time may vary due to verification or processing requirements.
Will the Bankee Trading Account provide a bank card?
- Yes. The bank card will be sent to you by Bankee. For any questions regarding the debit card, please refer to Bankee's instructions.
How to unbind the Bankee Trading Account?
- To unbind, please contact Bankee customer service.
I previously opened a Bankee Trading Account via MAX but then I deleted my MAX account. If I sign up MAX again, do I need to open another Bankee Trading Account?
- If you already have a Bankee Trading Account for MAX, Bankee will automatically recognize your identity and bind the existing account to your new MAX account. There is no need to open a new Bankee Trading Account. If you have closed the Bankee Trading Account, you will need to apply again.
Can I use a Bankee Investment Settlement Account/Virtual Asset Trading Account opened through a security broker or another exchange with MAX?
- Bankee's investment settlement accounts support multiple brokers and cryptocurrency exchanges, but each account is designated for specific use. If you want to use it with MAX, you need to open a dedicated trading account.
